Awful, we thought we'd go for a nice meal on our last night in Melton. The steak and ale pie had very little steak and the 'gravy' was like gravy granules thick and cloggy, the rib eye was tough and full of fat and gristle, the soup was thin and tasted like a cheap cupasoup. When we complained we weren't offered to speak to the chef but the barman apologised on his behalf!!!
When we left having paid the full bill (we werent offered a discount) the chef hid from view outside having a cig until we'd left.
Would not recommend.

I visited The Plough for their recent beer festival and had a wonderful time.
The food was good and the atmosphere brilliant.
I would certainly recommend The Plough to anyone who likes a good, old fashioned English pub.

Food simple and lacking care, not up to standard. Beer great, but soft drinks over priced.
Would not recommend.

Our walking group called in at the Plough Inn in early March 2006 for some sustainance on our 13 mile stroll in the Vale of Belvoir. The pub is very unassuming but provides a very friendly service. We were welcomed with open arms and given a reasonable choice of bar food to select from - not to mention some good ale. The service was reasonably quick and we left happy - if a little slower than when we arrived!
